The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) provides financial assistance to eligible people buying their first new or substantially renovated home. If you are building a home, to be entitled to the FHOG payment the commencement date for your transaction must be on or before 30 June 2019.
On 4 June 2020, the Australian Government announced HomeBuilder to provide eligible owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home, substantially renovate an existing home or buy an off-the-plan home/new home.
Households and small businesses across Australia that install a small scale renewable energy system (solar, wind or hydro) or eligible hot water system may be able to receive a benefit under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) to help with the purchase cost.
